Writing an important report: prepare your prompts once, reuse them again and again
Writing an important report is a lot like writing a thesis: it is long, it is revised part by part, and the requirements hardly change.
Write the requirements first
Start with the requirements for the whole report, such as who will read it, what tone to use and what format. Then add the requirements for each part, such as what the background, data analysis, conclusion and recommendations should cover.
What MindDesk does
MindDesk is a browser extension that sits in a side panel next to your AI chat:
- Save prompts:Store the overall and part-by-part requirements in MindDesk ahead of time, organized in folders.
- Save finished parts:Save the parts you are happy with from under an AI answer in one click.
- Combine in the current task:For the part you are writing, check the overall requirements, that part’s requirements and the finished earlier parts, and put them in order.
- One-click insert:Insert the combined text into the chat box in one click.
- Reuse:Next time you write a similar report, take the saved prompts, combine and insert them again.
